Bought a 2017 P229 .40 Enhanced Elite that came with an unused .22 Conversion Kit. Won’t actually receive it until I pay back my brother. Considering picking up a 9mm P229 to install the .22 Conversion Kit on. Will a .22 kit that fits on a .40 P229 also fit on a 9mm P229? Some kinda slide width issue or something of that nature?

Now that Ugly Duck has asked it, I'm curious too.

Politicians seem to have forgotten that they work for us, not the other way around.

Here's what I'd like to do at the range: Bring two P229's, one with the .22lr kit to get cheap reps & one in a 9mm/40/357 sig caliber depending upon my ammo-of-the-day for real practice. One relatively "clean" centerfire rig & one rimfire-crud gun.

So I'll probably get a second P229, but I want to make sure that everything will fit before I choose one. Questions remain:

Will a newer 9mm P229 slide & barrel fit on a .40 caliber 2017 Enhanced Elite?

Will a .22lr conversion kit built for a 2017 .40 P229 fit on a newer P229 sold in 9mm?
