That is a beautiful addition to the Family

I am really fond of the X-family of firearms and the Sport pistols that preceded them

I was saddened to hear of the closure of the German facility, that will push the price of these well outside what the normal shooter can afford

I have an X-five short and those are drop dead beauties.
An impressive work of art.
Let us both hope parts continue to be available as I run mine frequently.
Awesome !

That is a beautiful pistol, marred only by the use of gold plating.

At least it's minimal, and tasteful. To a degree.

The problem with that gun is it's just to pretty to shoot. I'm sure it would shoot magnificently. But the mere thought of getting it dirty would give me the heeby jeebies, let alone the possibility of A SCRATCH!!!!!! Eek

I’m not seeing that. It seems unlikely to me.

In any case, thanks for the great photos Q!

Due to various factors, the last time I went to the range was over 4 months ago. And man, do I miss sending lead down range. So, took this beauty for some quick testing a couple of days ago. I decided to just leave the stock grips on, although it is a little bulky. A mixture of brands were tried: Magtech 124 Gr FMJ, PMC Bronze 115 Gr FMJ, Speer Lawman 124 Gr TMJ, Rem Golden Saber +P 124 Gr BJHP, Win Ranger T +P 124 Gr HP. All shootings were done "benched", with the grip butt resting on the carpeted platform.

There were zero malfunctions with all the ammo (140 rds total for this test). The trigger, as mentioned above, is superb. On this particular day, in my hands, the gun performed best with the Golden Saber (best 5-shot group 7/8 inch) and worst with the Ranger T (2 inches). As to how this one compares with other X6s I had, it's no better or worse in performance.

The conclusion is, yes I got this beauty all dirty, and I loved it! Razz

Best Speer Lawman group:

Best Magtech group:

PMC Bronze:

Ranger T:

Just before packing up, I also quickly tested out the 2 Magguts mags for the P365 that have been used (no malfunctions) and then sat fully loaded (12 rds) for 4 months. Ran 75 rds through them with range and defensive ammo. Zero hiccups. This was a fun day. Cool

Gorgeous!

I really wish they had never started putting that damn hole in the side of the slide, though.

Still super sharp. It reminds me of something an anime vampire hunter would carry.

It's an elegant pistol, Q. When you shoot it, please do a comparison to a "regular" P226 X-6.

How about a comparsion between X5 Midnight and 210 Midnight 5 . . Then the Big One 210 Midnight 6 against X6 Midnight Better than Godzilla . . . The Battle of the Midnights at Midnight, Showing tonight on Sig Forum . . .
