Holosun EPS Carry is compact, lightweight, and offers the multi-reticle option. I find the open circle to be fast for close shots where speed is more important than precision.

(I consider "accuracy" to always be important, regardless of precision.)

I have a 226 with a pro cut slide that I bought from Sig a while back. I put a Romeo X full size on it with a circle/dot reticle. This means you get a dot, circle, or a circle with a dot in the middle - like an Eotech reticle. I like the dot or the circle/dot. Either is okay. I also have a three of the 507k Holosuns mounted on Glocks and they are fine as well. I also have a Romeo X Compact Enclosed on my P365 AXG Legion and a Romeo X Compact on my 365XL. I’ve had no bad incidents with either the Sig or Holosun optics.

I transitioned 6 pistols to red dots in the past 2 years, including having some slides cut. There was a training curve to get past. My advice is don’t listen to people who say to zero at 25 yards. Start up close - say 10’. See where you are printing and adjust your sight until your on target, keeping in mind your sight height over bore. When you’re good and you are grouping at point of aim, then move back to 7 yards and check zero. Then back to 10, and so on. Don’t waste a box or more of ammo trying to zero at 25 if its your first time on a red dot.

Also - I you are installing the optics yourself, a torque driver is a good idea. Don’t over tighten, but loctite and torque to spec. I’ve seen some red dots come off slides at the range.
