So I bought the P226 Sport compensator out of the classifieds that I believe is actually an aftermarket P220 compensator, but that isn’t a bad thing as it can go either way. Is there a sensible way to machine a railed frame down to the little German Rail that was on the sports? Is it a lost cause? Nine years to retirement! Just waiting!

You can machine down a stainless frame. An aluminum frame would need to be milled and refinished. Not sure if it would be worth the effort required for either one.
