Ladies and gentleman, I’m seriously considering one of these to be my CCW. I would like some general information, experiences, recommendations etc. How’s the trigger, reliability? What’s your favorite red dot on it? Etc.

I run a RomeoZero on it and love it.

I carried a P220 for years and switched to the 365XRomeoZero about 8 months ago. I shoot it every week without fail and I'm amazed how well I shoot a gun that's this small.

About the only thing I didn't like about it was the trigger pull. So I ordered a reduced power spring set from M*CARBO and installed it and cleaned up some of the internals a bit and now I'm happy with it. I don't have a trigger pull gauge, but I'd guess it's around 4-1/2 pounds or so.

The P365X has the longer 12 round XL grip length. This pretty much means it needs to be holster carried. Once you're holstering, I think the XL makes sense.

For a red dot, I'd prefer Holosun K series (407K, 507K.) Decide what reticle and color you prefer. The Romeo Zero seems flimsy, and had other characteristics I don't like.

After carrying the Romeo Zero for 8 months on a daily basis and shooting it every week, I can assure you it's not at all flimsy. Quite the opposite.

365X is the Commander grip size of the series.
Flat trigger is a positive. The FCU is self contained and allows for a very nice trigger pull out of the box. Not many surfaces that can cause friction--as Flash stated--you can drop in a reduced spring.
The magazines are difficult to load. Trying to put 12 rounds in a new mag is impossible.
Magguts offers a flat spring and follower which allows 14 rounds.

While I don’t have the X, I have converted my 365 to an XL frame. I do holster carry in an IWB holster and do not find the extra grip length to be any more difficult to conceal. I do find the larger grip makes the gun far easier to control during shooting drills and makes a huge difference in reloads. Carrying 12+1 and a spare 12 is ridiculous in a gun this size. I think the X makes a great CCW.

For the shorter barrel/slide on the X, I'd prefer the shorter grip as well and throw it in a pocket holster as a BUG during cooler weather or in shorts pockets in the summer. If going with the larger grip that's on the X, I'd prefer the larger barrel/slide of the XL as well since it'd be to large for a pocket with that grip and the extra slide/barrel length wouldn't change the concealment any when IWB...just me thinking out loud though, it's all personal preference!

I like mine. It’s for IWB / OWB carry.
Swapped the red dot out for a Holosun.

Couldn’t decide so I bought both the 365 & the 365X
Have the Mcarbo spring kits on the way for both.

It's pretty much all been said, but, The X is optic ready if you want a dot.
If you find the XL grip harder to conceal, you can buy a 365 grip cheaper than a cut slide. although you also need the 10 rd mags too

I went with the Holosun 407k only because of the internet chatter about it and the Zero, but have no experience with the Zero.

The X is my EDC with no regrets
The 407k was only around $50 more than the x with the Romeo on it.

If you buy the X with the Romeo it does not come with a rear sight so if you want to remove the dot you are without.

The modular platform is great, you can customize it any way you want!
And now there is the 365 Macro too, how big you want to get?
Leave it to $ig

I have around 1000 rounds thru mine of various brands without a single problem.

I've had my P365X for 10 months or so. It has gone through a beating as my CCW including being in a flash flood where it wad buried in mud in the cab of my truck. After being cleaned and oiled its back to new.

The entire 365 series, be it the base 365, the X, the XL or any of the designer models like the Spectre and Spectre comp are really great pistols. I bought a P365XL, then picked up a P365 complete slide so I've got a faux X sans the optic cut which I don't favor for carry. What a great little pistol. Don't hesitate, give them your money.

Piling on here…..

Started with a regular 365, but eyesight issues made me need something better. Bought a SAS slide and switched back and forth. It works, but distance is limited. Then I bought an X slide and added a red dot. CT 1550 to be exact. There we go. Back to head shots at 50 feet under 5 seconds from concealment. My personal test.
Ended up switching to a Holosun sight mainly because it’s metal over the plastic CT ( and Romeo Zero) sight, though I had no problems. Also bought a frame and made the SAS it’s own pistol. Carry both, depending on the task. YMMV.

I have a 365X and 365XL both with the Romeo, but I'm not sure I'm sold on the red dot and possible battery issues so I normally sick with my 365 with regular sights. I need to do some shooting with the red dot turned off and see how my groups are.
