Got a new Glock 48 today with my stimulus money.
Got the Glock 48 with the black slide and Ameriglo bold sights. I got an extra 10 round magazine (it came with 2 10 rounders)and fired 150 rounds of Federal 124 grain fmj ammo and 50 rounds of Federal 124 grain Hydra Shock ammo (my carry load of choice). Not a hiccup except for once when I didn't fully seat the magazine. I've got a Shield Arms S15 15 round magazine on order and 2 10 round ETS mags from Brownell's. I also order 3 of Strike Industries Glock 43X +2 magazine extensions as well.

Congrats. We think the 43X/48 series makes a good carry piece. Kindly keep us apprised of how it behaves.

We trudge on.

Hard choices are ahead for me.
Either a pair of G43X's or G48's for my wife and I for our new carry pistols.

I keep going back and forth in my mind between a 48 and a 43X. I like the shorter slide on the 43X. I already have 3 Shield Arms mags and the aluminum mag catch waiting for my decision.

The idea of a 43X with a milled slide for a RMSc is a titillating proposition.

I'm impressed you found a Glock 48 right now, but great purchase! The G43X has become my primary CCW, taking over for my G26 that I carried for years. Once things cool off, I intend to buy a Glock 48, the gun balances very well for me.

I had a tough time deciding between the G43X and the G48. I went with the G48. Then I got a G43X, and now have a tough time deciding between them.

The 43X fits my pocket for pocket carry, though I've usually put it in the waistband. The G48 is waistband only, but very comfortable given it's thinness.

You will buy more Glocks.

I went to one of my local LE Shops and was able to get it at the Blue Label price. Only thing was they didn't have any extra magazines for the Glock 48. I plan on getting a couple more Shield Arms S15 magazines and the G48 will replace my G19 for CCW.

I have a 43 for pocket carry, but the 48 is a sweet carry gun. I have a kydex holster I like for it but still want a leather one.

With the Shield Arms 15 round mag it's quite the perfect carry piece

They need to make shorter Shield Arms mags, the right length to cut a 48 or 43X down short to 43 size, but still hold 10 rounds or so.

Get on that will you? Wink

One of my favorites and definitely a good purchase.
Change the sights out and you're GTG.

I love my Glock 48. It's my non-Glock Glock. Slender little thing.

Why should I change the sights? I got the Ameriglo bold tritium sights and they work or me.

He probably was talking about replacing sights if they were the stock polymer ones.

I’m not a Glock guy, but I love my G48. It will be my EDC in a Brommeland Max Con 5 once this Covid crap ramps down and I’m able to add it to my permit. I tried some different sights, but settled on the Ameriglow Hackathorns.

Yep. Mine came with the stock Glock sights and while I can use those fine, I find a set of aftermarket sights of your choice work better.

A 10rd 43 mag that fits flush or damn close would be nice.

Now I've added 3 more Shield Arms S15 magazines, mag release and the plus 10 magazine springs to my stuff on order for my G48.

I got to fondle one of these at my local store with the silver slide. Nice piece. I just was turned off by the 10 round mag... but I did like the slim profile and get the tradeoff.
