I got an email from Bud's and they have the Tisas 1911 Service Special for $329. I have a Stingray and have been happy with it.

I've got two Tisas, got the GI .45 when they were $299. The 9mm came later for $439, iirc.
Solid guns, no complaints.

Yep, their 1911's are solid. I currently have 4 all in .45acp.

US Army (bought used for $210 and it was mint)
Raider (bought new)
Commander Carry (bought new)
Fullsize Duty (bought used)

The quality on them are excellent and they shoot great too.

I only have one Tisas, a 1911 that came with two mags and walnut grips, that cost me >400. It’s a solid gun.

Have a stainless bushingless Zig i got years ago (it's a tack driver) and bought a pre-production .45 this past summer (As close to an issue .45 you can get, without spending $2000) they are solid .45's and on occasion carry them when I'm not packing a 229 or 239. One forum a member made a comment "I dont stake my life on cheap pistols" Uh. there's nothing cheap about them, all steel all forged hand fitted pistols at a reasonable price.

I bought a Service Special from my LGS last year for the same price... $329.00. It was my first 1911, and while not really refined, it is extremely good for the price point. Good tight fit, no rattles, and has been 100% reliable to-date!

Since you didn’t provide any information, here’s the link to the recall.

Thanks both of you for the recall info.

My Raider is on the list and they've already sent me a label to return it. My other 3 are all good to go.

Just got my raider back. Paperwork says "Trigger Upgrade" and that trigger weight is 5lb 0oz.

The trigger pull is clean, possibly a little longer though.

I sent it in with no mags or accessories but was happy to see it came back with a new in wrap magazine in the case. Very classy of them.
