Make America Great Again |
After waiting around for all of the bugs to be ironed out, I finally broke down and bought a P365 yesterday! I got the standard sized one, with manual safety, SigLite night sights, plus three 12-round mags to extend the grip when I want to. Price was was only $499.00 plus tax, so I couldn't say no! _____________________________ Bill R. North Alabama

That sounds like the TacPac. Where did you find it for that price? That's below pre-Covid pricing. And why does it have Siglite NS instead of X-rays?

Don't know what the TacPac is, and nothing on the case indicates that, AFAIK. They're just basic Sig tritium night sights... the X-rays are fiber optic, are they not? My favorite LGS just got them in; Larry's Pistol and Pawn in Huntsville and Madison, AL. I usually go to the Madison store since it's only a few miles from my house. EDIT: Not the TacPac because no holster was included, and it only had two 10-round mags... EDIT #2: Based on the model number on the case, I think it does have X-ray sights! 365-9-BXR3-MS _____________________________ Bill R. North Alabama

Yeah, you have X-ray sights. If the front sight has the green circle w/ Tritium insert, it's X-ray. Siglites are white 3-dot during the day and Tritium 3-dot at night.

It's a great carry piece, I think you'll find. I have over 2000 rounds through mine with everything from home cast 124 gr LSWC's to 115 & 124 gr JHP's and honestly can't remember my last malfunction. I especially like that big green dot front sight for daylight or twilight use as it's very easy to pick up against any background. Best of luck with yours. I've posted this pic before, but it does demonstrate the gun's superb accuracy...ten shot group was shot just after I bought the gun. Ten yards from a modified Weaver stance... 5th Spl Forces, Air Force Bird Dog FAC, lll Corps RVN 69-70.... Congrats on a great pistol; love mine. I did just purchase (against my better judgment) a Promag 12-round magazine for $21. Will it stay, or will it go? JMag "The truth is incontrovertible; malice may attack it, ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is." ? Winston Churchill

I have always liked SIGlight night sights. Mine came with Xrays which I totally did not like and have since replaced with TFOs.

Excellant pistol--now buy the maglula to load the magazines.

Oh goodness yes. Great gun but the magazines are unusually unpleasant to load.

Congrats on a fine choice. I agree with SIGfourme and GregV that an Uplula loader is a must-have to load factory P365 mags with, especially given how initially stiff their springs are. The first time I loaded the 10 rounders up that came with my two P365s...my thumbs refused to forgive me for weeks! -MG

Yeah, figured that out by the model number on the case. One thing I DO really like about these sights is the rear sights are really small compared to the front, so when aiming, their size appears nearly equal due to difference in distance from the eye. I also like the bright outer ring during the daytime! Still haven't managed to get to the range to try it out, but hope to in the next few days... _____________________________ Bill R. And here I was thinking mine was the only one that was difficult to load. The Maglula is a must. Some days it's just not worth chewing through the restraints
