I went to an auction this past Sunday and ended up snagging two of my grail guns. Paid full price on one and stole the other.

First up is a Colt model of 1917 .45acp. Probably 90%. The second is a S&W Pre 34, 2” kit gun. It has the flat cylinder release, round but. Again, 90% to 95%

Weird auction. Some prices too low, some too high. There was one of those odd semi auto revolvers. Very rare... sold for $8,100!

You just never know how an auction is gonna go.

I went to so many where the guns sold for full retail and in some cases over retail or book price.

Unfortunately I skipped one that was almost entirely Sigs and I heard the prices were about half what they should have been.

Glad you got what you wanted and are happy with them

I’ll work on some pics.

Thanks Q but that’s not it..... the revolver was a Webley–Fosbery Automatic Revolver. Look that one up. Pretty cool!

Congratulations on the two new additions to the family.

I always loved the little 2" J-frames with their adjustable sights and big Shark Fin front sight

My attempt at pics. Colt 1917 (made in April 1918), S&W Pre model 34 (made in 1954), and a shot of both.

The Mateba has been in several movies-you can look them up in the Internet Movie Firearms database.

Same guy who designed the Mateba was also the lead designer for the Chiappa Rhino. Somewhat similar in appearance and both shoot from the bottom cylinder.

Nice Colt!

Beltfed, that is a nice pair of revolvers. That S&W snubby is my favorite. Thanks for sharing the pictures.

Thanks! All the government markings (bottom of the barrel and grip frame) are sharpe and clear. The bore is shiny and bright. The .22 S&W is the same way!
