LGS Deal - P320 X5
Today I found a great deal on a P320 X5. It's NIB and they want to get rid of it. I'm guessing that many new Sigs will be heavily discounted due to recent events.

I hadn't planned to buy it, but it is appealing.

Do you think the P320 X5 is worth $850?

Looks like the all steel version? I guess that would be a good deal for the die-hard P320 fan.

Yeah,

The SXG is a deal at that price point.

You'll like the weight and balance of this one.

If you haven't bought it and decide not to do so, I'd be interested in it if you would pass along the store's information.

Yea.. that's not a deal. It's a STEAL.

If that the SXG version then yes, that's a deal. I'd grab it in a heartbeat if I saw that locally.

I would very quickly, with no remorse pay $850.00 for that all stainless 49 oz. Paperweight!!

Man, that's a tough one.

I'd love to have one of those SXG grip modules, and compared to what they were asking for that gun just a few months ago that's a heck of a deal.

On the other hand, it ain't worth anything if you don't have a place to shoot it, and with more and more ranges and shooting sports banning the gun it's a little scary to think that you might be sinking $850 into a gun that you might not be able to use.

I'm on the fence. I think it depends on your intended use case and the situation at your local range.

Take it. I would at that price. If you can't shoot it, you can use it as a sledge hammer. Or a boat anchor that won't rust.

Thank you for the great replies. I'm also still on the fence, for those exact reasons. This pistol feels like Sig measured my hand to design it. It looks good and feels good.

Sig have backed themselves into a corner with the stuff they've said, lawsuits settled out of court and filing a lawsuit against Washington State Police Department.

I was considering buying it when I saved more money. That was six months ago. Now.....things are different. I have plenty of nice 9mm pistols and don't really need it. As a Sig fan from way back (P220, P225, P226 etc.), I want to believe that it is a great deal on a great pistol.

My heart and mind have opposite opinions on this particular P320.

I would probably jump on that deal.

When the subject of the P320 in general comes up, gentlemen, I expect to see no snarky remarks. We have a thread on the subject, where you can unleash your Don Rickles.

Needless to say, the controversy over the P320 is well known in the gun community and there is no reason to belabor the subject in other threads, unless such things are directly related to what is being discussed.

A few days after the news about the Airman shooting, the local pawn shop had 2 P320s that, while I was browsing, was instructed by the owner to pull out of the case. He said I could have them at cost if I didn't think there was a problem. He looked them up and it was $350/standard compact and he had a P320 Spectre Carry for $475 with 3 mags/box. I bought the Spectre...but I may go back for the other one.

During the paperwork, he had to say again..you know full well what is going on with the P320? I said, yes, I do.

So, yeah. You can find some deals right now.

I bought the X5 SXG. It does indeed weigh 3.1 pounds!

It feels fantastic! The current slide spring is very light. The slide has been lightened to prevent 'porpoise' type movement. The trigger has a good weight and is a straight blade. The grips are sharp and almost hold onto my hand. The flared magazine well and grips are icing on the cake.

This weight, light weight slide, light slide spring and good trigger will make a fantastic range toy.

Taken from the box, the X5 SXG weighs 30 grams more than my CZ Shadow 2 that has a Vortex Defender XL red dot.

I could sell it, but I **really** like it.

Another option is to sell the Shadow 2 and keep the X5 SXG.
