I second the Slip2000 EWG.. great grease for the slide rails and where it locks up on the Barrel hood.

Been using it for all my guns (1911's also when I had them) for years..

FP-10 for years, even before I got my Dan Wesson, which is also their recommended lube. Eezox on the outside for corrosion protection.

Synthetic bearing grease on all my 1911s and a lot of it.
