The Stick Shop is advertising a Beretta 92 Vertex for 610.00 new. Anyone ever deal with them? I'd love the gun, but don't know the seller.

Thanks, y'all.

The answer is yes, legit. Online search shows they have a physical address (8151 W MARCO POLO RD PEORIA AZ 85382), have a valid FFL (per ATF EZ Check), and take credit cards. All indications of not a scam operation.

Where did you see it posted? I don't find it on their website.

https://thestickshop.co/produc...ber=or&orderby=price

I've seen before scam websites pose as an FFL using info from a legit FFL. Look - the dead giveaway is that when you checkout, they only accept forms of payment w/o any buyer protections: Zelle, Venmo, Cash App, Bitcoin, Crypto. I've seen some that will accept standard PayPal. My guess is they take the money and close out their account(s) before PayPal can reverse payment.

ETA: I do see the "Beretta 92fs 9mm Brigadier Black 15+1" listed for $610 at their website, which I suspect is what you're considering.

A lot of these ultra cheap "dealers" are basically just drop shippers. They sell the gun for a few dollars over (or under, even) their cost, then ding you with some sort of "transfer" or "FFL" fee and shipping. The gun ships from a major distributor to your FFL, who will obviously charge their fee.

A lot of times by the time it's all said and done, you're spending $50-$100 in fees on both sides of the transaction.

Since "S.S." is fairly local I did a search online... stinks to high heaven, IMHO. The indicator to me were the five 5-star "revues": one on 12/29/23, one on 1/4/24, one on 1/5/24, and two on 1/6/24. Nothing before, none after. All gushing and over the top. YMMV

Do---or do not.
There is no try.

I just got on Google Maps to see if the address is an actual establishment or a residence. It’s a house in the northwest part of Phoenix.

The FFL here in the Dallas area I use is a solid guy who does business out of his home, but I vetted him pretty well when I first dealt with him. I’d just exercise due diligence if you have reservations.

Sounds even more like a drop shipper.
