Dump the Triple K mags. Or use them only on the range. Sig OEM or MecGar.

I agree but finding euro mags is tough and or ridiculously expensive.

There’s nothing wrong with using cheap (in every sense) magazines as long as it doesn’t matter how they perform and we don’t mind throwing them away when necessary—or just putting up with bad performance.

They don't have to be Euro mags.

Any of the P220 mags with the flat metal baseplate will work with the Euro mag release.

^^ True, but it's a 9mm Pistol...It 'might' be easier to find 'Euro' mags than American/non-Euro mags in 9mm.

OP - In case you're not aware, SigSauer .38 Super Mags for the P220 'should' work just fine to feed 9mm rounds in your Pistol, so don't rule those out as a possible substitute if you're on the hunt for add'l mags. Though they lack the internal spacer at the back/spine of the mag (which makes up the difference in OAL between the two cartridges) I've heard nothing but 100% reliability from every Range Report where they've been tried.

Welcome to SIGforum! Cool

...As for the Red Dot that was a piece of cake, just knocked out the OEM rear sight and popped in a plate for the Holosun. Was quite easy and quick.

The plate you're using to attach the red dot sight, is it the plate type that attaches into the rear slide's dove-tail notch intended to hold the rear sight?

When I attended Sig's Classic Pistol Armorer Course, I met an armorer who worked for a state police department and who was involved in testing of red dot sights. They found undue wear and damage to the dove-tail notch. They believe the heavier weight of red dot caused damage to the dove-tail notch during recoil. Eventually the dove-tail notch would widen, chip, or crack resulting in the red dot sight becoming loose. I don't remember how many rounds it took for the wear to become noticeable, and I expect their testing was several thousand rounds.

Good day Shooters, The problem has been fixed!
Indeed both of the new aftermarket mags were the issue and that was the feed lips were exactly .8mm wider than stock OEM mags. After fabing a mandrel and closing the lips the problem is resolved.

It's interesting that I also bought 4 mags for a Colt Woodsman not long ago and they caused the slide to lock back with one round left in the mag, again feed lips to wide allowing the bullet to rest to high and the button on the side of the mag that pushes the slide lock up would set. That's now fixed as well.

I'm nost aprecitive of the info from all of you.

thank you Mike R

Thanks for the update. It's always good to learn how these problems turn out.
