Question - round counts on M&P 2.0’s
Wondering out there who has a high round count on theirs Smith and Wesson M&P 2.0? How have they fared over time? Pics of “well loved” ones would be great? I’m wondering if Dmith made a gun that could rival the infamous Glock lifespan/durability? I recently picked up a gently used 2.0 Comoavt snd it’s been great as a shooter.

Any suggestions as to recoil spring replacements?

Thanks in advance.

Donovan Moore of Point 1 Tactics is the guy for the 2.0. Utterly swears by them and is one extremely talented shooter. I don't know his round counts.

It’s not a 2.0 but my gen 1 CORE 9L has 15K documented rounds with 3 FTFs; 2 of which were young/female shooter within the first couple hundred rounds. I changed the recoil spring about 8K. Probably do for another but it’s working fine.

My 160 officer department issued the M&P 40 (pre-2.0) from 2008 to 2016 and the M&P 9 (pre-2.0) from 2016 to now.

Some of these guns have had low round counts, but some used by the SWAT and Firearms Team guys have been shot a lot (20k plus rounds).

I can count the problems we have had on the fingers of one hand which is pretty impressive to say the least.

We are upgrading to the M&P 9 2.0 Optic Ready guns (Aimpoint Acro P-2 footprint with that optic mounted) this Fall.

I expect the same great performance we have had to continue. I don't hesitate to recommend the M&P to anyone. The guns are workhorses and I think probably the most underrated service pistol out there.

I can't imagine a S&W wouldn't fare as good as a Glock but I have been wrong before. I love my S&W pistols and they seem really well built. My Shield Plus is starting to become my favorite pistol to shoot and carry.
