How can I put a red dot (Romeo X compact) on my P239.

Find someone to mill the slide. I do not know if you can, but I do not see why not. You can mill other P series guns.

Just because you can do something, doesn’t mean you should.

But if you are hellbent on doing this, my recommendation would be to cruze ebay and GunBroker for a used P239 slide of appropriate caliber. I would test the slide on your frame for at least a 100 rounds before milling just to make sure there are no hiccups. Then send that slide off to have a red dot installed.

This way under worst case scenario you are only out a slide and not an entire pistol if it doesn’t work out.

I second this. I can also highly recommend Vulcan Machinewerks. I know Robert Burke would also highly recommend them for milling work.
