My wife’s first gun is a Glock 43. I took it out for s function check and discovered that the trigger is the heaviest trigger on any gun I’ve ever shot. As a beginner, I wouldn’t want her to have a super light trigger but this one is super heavy and it took a lot of effort to shoot straight.

Are there any improvements that I can make to the gun or if they just the way it is?

I have a 43X and also found the trigger to be heavy. On all my other Glocks I have just put in the Glock (-) connector and they are just fine.

Not so on the 43X it already has a (-) connector in it from the factory.

After much reading here I decided to go with the Gen2 Pyramid trigger assembly and it is perfect for me and CCarry. Not to heavy or to light.

I went with a pretty pricy option as I was setting this 43x as my CCarry piece. You can just get a lighter connector (Ghost) for a lot less then the Pyramid assem.

There is thing called the 25 cent trigger job. YouTube will walk you through it. FWIW, the trigger on my 43 is similar to all my other Glocks.

I hated the stock trigger on my 43, especially the ridges. It was quite a while before options started to become available, after the 43 was first released.

I went with a minus connector and the Overwatch Precision polymer DAT.

Having a flat face and the slight change in geometry wrt the pull action is a major improvement.
