HK 45C....especially with today’s prices. Get WARPIG’s tactical for $760 I’m the Classifieds section. I love my 45C. I converted it to safety only...no decock.

And those prices aren’t great. They are charging you $100 + more then they cost new. I picked up a 45C 2 weeks ago for $604 NIB. Spent an extra $33 on eBay for a third mag and $71 on Amazon for a set of factory Night Sights.

Thats true for the full sized USPs & Mk23, not so sure about USP compacts.

For such an American round and HK being such a European company they do .45 pistolas right. I honestly don’t think you will go wrong with ANY HK in .45. Ok the MK23 is a little comical and might require a friend as an assistant gunner but damned if it isn’t reliable, accurate and possibly the most robust ..... and sort of useless pistol ever. Razz.

Seriously you will not go wrong with an HK in .45 P9-to HK45.

I am fairly sure you could shove a .308 round into a MK23 and it would fire it just fine. That pistol is built to stupid levels of robustness.

I was at a local shop recently and they had a MK23 next to a VP9 full size. The VP9 might as well have been an SK. It damn near looked Glock 26 with 10 round mag sized next to it.

I wanted the MK23.....because....well.... BECAUSE DAMMIT!!

Same mags, different grips and rail. I went USPc 45 as at the time I came across a good deal on a 2-tone. I don’t like the rail on the Hk4c. For the WML I did go with the TLR-3. No biggie on the adaptor as I bought it as a package on Amazon.

For the recent price drop on Hk45c if I were buying today it would be a consideration but I don’t like that rail! I would assume accuracy is the same between the two and for my USPc it is outstanding!! I’d never get rid of it.

I like the 45CT. You can easily go from concealed carry to ninja with a mag change. Oh and the Streamlight TLR1 HL does fit with a small mod.

For ME:
DA/SA= Sig 9mm
Striker fired= Glock 9mm
If it's a .45= 1911
Suppressed= HK in .45
I like anything in 10mm

I would like a hk45, as i currently don't have one. I do have a usp tac 9mm, usp 40, usp 45. The usp 40 is my first pistol, with well over 50k through it. The 45 is one of the police trade ins from the same 94/95/96 era. The usp tac 9 is from 2016. Still to this day, i can grab anyone and know where it will point when I bring it up.

Don't think you can make a wrong decision here. Having owned both, the 45c works best for me. Adding talon rubberized grips really helps too. The 45c's slide is easier for me to conceal and the ability to share holsters with the P30 is nice as well.

This right here is great news. I have a P30 and VP 9.
Looks like a 45c is in my future.

^^^This ^^^

I'm a huge HK fan and the USP Compact 45 is one of my everyday carries.
I didn't see enough differences to make me go out and get another compact 45.
Can't go wrong either way.
I do have several other flavors of USP's in different calibers and configurations though. Smile

Do you mean filing the front rail or something to the TLR because I have tried some tricks with my TLR to no avail.

I’m not sure about the HK45 but the USP’s have the ability to easily change versions. My USP45T was changed from a V1 to a V3. All that I needed to do was swap out the detent plate.

I sent my HK 45C to Rick Holm at Lazy Wolf, and it is now VERY good. Factory HK triggers are average, at best. Highly recommend Rick for any HK trigger work. He was the HK specialist/trainer working for Bruce Gray, before Rick started his shop across town. I am sending my USP Compacts in for the same work. All three of them. If I were to choose, I would take the HK 45C for EDC and get the action worked on by Rick. If I could only keep one, that would be it. I broke it in with 1000 rounds with no cleaning, before I sent it in. Never one hiccup.

So, long-story-short.. I'd bet with WARPIG602

Compared side by side, which one is narrower? Easier to conceal?

I find the 45c to be the better CCW. The grip is a bit thinner feeling as well as it just feels more melted/rounded.

Still a fairly big hogleg. It’s not Glock 30. Just be aware of that.
