I've always been a 1911 guy. Carried them on duty and off. And then, I bought a Glock 48 for concealed carry. Love it. Simple to use, simple to tinker with. And it works. Every. Time.
Now I'm thinking I want to add a full size Glock. I want a large frame. I handled the 41 when it first came out, and recall being really impressed with how it balanced and pointed. 45 ACP, 5.25" barrel and 13 shot magazines; it's basically a modernized 1911 Government model. I'd like to hear from those that own and shoot them. Love it, hate it, would you buy it again?

I like mine but don’t shoot it often enough. If the grip diameter of the Glock is good for you I’d go for it.

I like the "large frame" glocks. I have the G21 and G41. The G41 is about like any other Glock. It's a G21 with a slightly longer slide and sight radius. It will give a very slight increase in velocity over the G21. If you plan to put optics on it, then the length doesn't matter much. If you're shooting it with iron sights, the longer slight radius may be a slight plus. It balances well. It's obviously a larger pistol for carry, probably better carried openly than concealed, but it certainly could be concealed. I have a ghost pro connector in my G41, and my G21; great trigger, almost no overtravel.

I like the larger frame, personally. It's a lot of area to spread out recoil; makes for a comfortable pistol to shoot.

I like mine. I like it even more now that I can swap it between a 10mm and 38 Super.

It hasn't been a 45 Auto in a looooong time.

I like mine quite a bit and shoot it pretty well. First time I shot it was in an IDPA classifier and I shot expert. Here's a video/review if interested. Recoil is similar to a P220.

The grip is better than a standard gen 3 and previous G21/G20 frame, but still quite blocky and large. But the texture is better and it's still very shootable.

I shot one in competition for awhile. Its a glock. Goes bang. If it fits you then have fun. There is really no downside other than at this point its a G4.

I picked one up earlier this year when I couldn't find a G21 to replace the one I sold. I think I like it more than a G21. It shoots about the same as a 21 for me but I like the balance of the 41 more.

I like my 41 for the fact it shares many of the existing holsters I have for my 34 & 35.

I took like how the G41 shoots and balances. I already have a G21 which I thoroughly enjoy. But every time a G41 would come in I'd get that nudge in the brain that whispers 'buy me', all based on that single time that I got to spend a little live fire experience with one. So far I've resisted, but I almost did it earlier in the year when a restricted (10rd mags) G41 showed up from a distributor. But a customer wanted it badly so I let him have the honor. Maybe the next one...

Very fond of mine, and it actually works IWB unlike my 21. It’s a great shooter.

I carry mine fairly regularly. I can ring steel at 50 yards with it. Holster choice can be a bit sketchy because even though the grip is the regular “large” Glock, the slide is quite a bit thinner than a G21. It is also a few ounces lighter than the G21.
Also, I will admit that I had one several years ago and traded it off, thinking that the G21 would be sufficient. Well, it wasn’t and I had to pick up another G41 to fully scratch the itch.

I guess I'll be the odd man out.

I feel the G21 shoots softer and prefer it.

That being said, there is nothing wrong with the G41.

I sold my 41. I prefer the 21.

IME; the answer is a resounding “most of the time, maybe”.
It also depends on what you consider “fits”. The lower is the same size as the rest of the large frame glocks, but the slide is the width of the small frame glocks.
In my leather 17/22/32 holsters, it’s a bit tight because of the larger frame.
In my kydex large frame holsters, it might rattle a bit because of the slimmer slide. And even that depends a bit. It slides right into my kydex (can’t remember the brand) holster for my 34/35. Fits like it was made for it.
It works in my kydex (blade tech, I think) holster for my G40, but it rattles a bit. It’s secure, but the slide swims around a bit.

Of course, it seems a lot of the Glock stuff interchanges to an extent. The dimensions around the trigger guard on glocks is similar across the board (no personal experience on the single stack glocks). I have a TT gun leather holster that is made for the G41. I have carried down to a G19 in it with no issues, but the G40 is a no go because of the slide length.
