I may be new to your forum but I have firearm experience for 50 years. I have to ask about the spring issues. I want to change my recoil spring on a well fired gun. I’m going with the 20lb. And changing mag springs to match the two new mags. Any thoughts? Springs on Sigs seem to be a broad subject.

Welcome to the forum.
I imagine you will get a reply faster if you provide more info such as the model pistol, age, and use, and if you are having problems.

Changing the recoil spring at certain intervals is highly recommended, but are you having problems?
Extra Mag springs are good too but are you having problems w/ the old mags? New mags will always have super stiff springs compared to the old ones. It doesn't mean the old ones need or don't need changing.

I made the comment in a like post a few weeks ago that if if ain't broke don't fix it and got 'ejumicated' about springs and especially recoil spring..... seems if the pistol has a large round count (don't have a clue as to the number) then a change out to a new recoil spring is a good idea.... as for the lb # on that... I also don't have a clue other than to say why change from what the factory one had?

A one-word topic title and no information about what gun(s) you’re referring to isn’t likely to result in many useful replies.

.

In the "Sig Armorer" section of this forum is a sticky post about Sig's recommended maintenance schedule, including springs:

Once you've had a chance to provide the details others have asked for, I can also be more specific in sharing my thoughts.

Welcome to SigForum, I hope you enjoy your time here!
