The Kimber 1911 Stainless Compact that I bought in 1995. My first 1911. I'm as impressed today as much as I was then.

The only pistol that has failed me was a Kimber 45.

Traded that dog in after replacing parts, this that and another.

My Kimber 45 has never failed me.

If I consider the guns that I've had over 1k rounds through, I wound count on my Beretta 92, sig 226, g34 and g19. My 20+ yr old g19 has had so many rounds thought it that I've got to experience the reality that anything can fail. It's had the extremely rare hiccup from bad ammo or user induced stoppages. I trust it more than any other gun I own.

Most of the pistols that have had issues are either break in related or upgrade hammer spring kits that for some reason just didn’t work well in that gun. There is also the occasional human error when you inadvertently cause slide lock or limp wrist a pistol for some unknown reason. I also did have a recent ammo issue with some WWB that had intermittent primer issues. 5-10 rounds per box just didn’t go off despite a good hit from the firing pin.

P226, 239, 320F, these always ran. Only trouble I had with a Sig was a P226 X5, after 800 rounds in one day the slide became sluggish and needed oil. However none of these had over 10,000 rounds, so not much of a test.

Smith & Wesson Shield 1.0 in .40 that I bought in early 2018, came into the shop that I worked at NIB as a trade in. Bought it as I was getting tired of worrying about damaging my P-232 two tone.

Bought a 9mm drop in barrel for it a few months later. Literally dropped it in when it arrived on a Saturday and racked a few snap caps through it. Sunday morning a friend called about going to the range so I sprayed it down and took two boxes of “cannon fodder” rounds along.

Hundred rounds later and not one FTF, FTE, Stovepipe, nothing. Proved it was actually a drop in.

Bunch of rounds since and still no problems. On the verge of replacing it with a P365 x-Macro Tac Ops though, fits my hand better.

I’ll throw in my HK P2000 v3.

I have a P225 Montage Suisse from, I think, 1978 which I have now had for close to 20 years. Fits the OP’s description well.

P229R 9mm.

I have not had any issues since I've purchased it. Shot a few cases with it throughout the years and replaced the springs with Sig's kit & installed the Grayguns SRT. Took it to the range to make sure it still worked and it's still perfect.

Nowadays, the striker guns get more range time while the P229R resides on the nightstand.

Gen 3 Glock 19 OD frame.

15 years old. Keeps on ticking. Never had to replace anything in it. If I knew I was going to need a handgun and could have only one, it'd be this G19.

My first SIG and still my carry gun: P226R in .357SIG

My very first Sig P229/9. I shot combat league and put tons of rounds down range. She has never failed to deliver. My absolute favorite Sig.

First pistol/first SIG I ever purchased, a SP2022 chambered in 9mm. Several thousand rounds thru it and never a hiccup.

Any of my revolvers. If I had to pick only one revolver, I'd choose my S/W Model 60.

I bought a used P220 that had a promag in it. No other magazines. The price was right. Every second shot would jam. At the range, the first time shooting it, I replaced the promag with a mecger and it has never ever jammed since. I literally threw the promag in the trash at the range.

Has it ever let me down? No, but the promag did.

Several other P220, P226 which came with mecgar mags have all been 100%.
Also a P2022, a G17, 2 X6's, a CZ Tactical sports, and a P228. I had a Les Baer 1911 and a Wilson Super something 1911 both of which had an occasional jam. Now I'm out of Sa and going DA/SA for training consistency.

My first duty gun was a personally owned GP-100. My agency 686’s all spit lead at the forcing cone so badly from timing issues that I had no interest in them. From dry firing, my Ruger became so smooth that the accuracy was boring. It is as my first handgun purchase and I will never part with it. My second handgun purchase ever, an SP-101 shares the same notoriety; it is the best .357 snubbie I’ve ever fired.

My German P228, I know...go figure right. Just shy of 10,000 rounds and never a hiccup of any kind.

Colt 1908 and 1903 pocket hammerless. Never any variety of failure. Of course, I thing my paternal grandfather fired 'em first so wasn't around for their initial use.
