I’m curious how the DAK compares to a HK LEM. I’ve got a P2000SK LEM with the Graygun kit and like it. Looking to add another hammer gun and thinking DAK. Anyone shot both to compare?

I'm a DAK fan (I carry a P220 DAK), but on the 239 specifically I think the advantages of it are not as pronounced. I had one, and sold it. Also had a 229 DAK, I regret selling. The geometry of the parts don't lend themselves to the DAK being as sweet as on the 220 or 229, 226.
It's almost the opposite of LEM though. It's like a revolver, a very nice revolver trigger, there is steady resistance all the way through the pull, with little or no stacking and imperceptible trigger break at the end.
I have a P2000SK LEM, and like it too, but shoot the DAK better.

A number of folks here are DAK fans, I'm not.
I do have two P239s with DAK triggers.

I actually traded the DAK trigger system off of one of my P239's in 357 sig for a DA/SA one in a 9mm P239...now that was a lesson in taking your time and being very calm and precise in one's work.

Depending on where you are in N.C. there is the possibility I could let you try one of mine... but I know just like the state of N.C., that is a long shot.

The DAK feels very different from the LEM. DAK is normally a long smooth pull between 6 and 8 pounds. It feels much like a nice double action revolver. LEM feels much like a 2 stage trigger where there is very little resistance until you hit the wall at the end.

The 239 DAK isn't as big a difference from the regular DAO as the full size guns. It's a geometry and leverage issue. It's still nicer than a DAO 239, but probably closer to 8 to 10 lbs depending on which reset point it's starting from.

I've got a 239 DAK that I don't carry that often anymore, but I'll never get rid of. Solid gun.

Thanks guys. I think I’ll probably just stick with LEM and get a P2000 to go with the SK.
