Pmag now making metal mags for SIG P320
Magpul Amag releasing a 17 round stainless steel body magazine for the SIG P320. I didn't see this coming but competition is good for the market.

I've always thought SIG/Mecgar mags were good, they are just expensive. Amag sticker price is $35, I would think street price will be a few dollars cheaper soon. Made in the USA. I think they will sell a bunch.

I have a few SIGs.

9mm only, which I guess is to be expected.

They literally say it won’t be their last…what would be their follow up?

I have a good friend who works for Magpul and has picked a couple up for me so I will be able to give some initial impressions and reviews soon!

Hopefully higher capacities.

Wouldn't their followup be the TMAG 30 that's "Coming Soon" in the 3rd video?

Interesting. But at $35, no real money saver, since I can catch Sig mags on sale for $39.
I am fully on board for $25.

Hopefully for the P220 and the whole HK line of handguns .

Probably 2011 magazines if I had to guess as to the next offering, given the boom of Staccato, Springfield's new double stack 9mm 1911, etc.

Glad to hear about options. If it's anything like their other products, we are in for a treat.

So Magpul is making a transparent AR mag? Something Lancer has been doing for years? Wow!

Is there a problem with multiple quality options????

Not at all. But the video makes it seem like it’s some kind of game changer innovation that only Magpul can pull off. Notice that it has polymer feed lips, which has been a weak point of various earlier polymer mags.

That's a pretty good reason in and of itself. Sig is asking $50/mag for P320 mags. If Magpul can make them cheaper and still provide a quality product to consumers at a profit, we all win.

I had a couple of Magpul Glock mags back when I had a Glock. They were pretty good. I had a couple of minor issues with one specific gun so I still used factory mags for carry and the Magpul ones at the range, but I'd have been ok with using them for real work if I'd had to.

What I'd really like to see is whatever legal embargo needs to expire so that Mec-Gar can sell actual OEM mags with their own branding at half the price like they do with most of the other stuff they make.

Let me get this straight: We’re whining because we have more manufacturers producing essential components for shooting when we have strong movements in this country that would ban them from being sold at all?

And their advertising indicates how good the product is and therefore why we should buy it. That’s different from any other manufacturer of any other product at any other time—how?

I don’t know. I love my pmags and other magpul stuff. I’ll wait for gen 2 for them to sort out the unexpected issues, and for a better made baseplate to grip module match. Kinda janky to me:

This may bring down OEM prices. When you can buy metal HK and Walther mags for less than SIG mags, there is a problem. Hopefully, there is a legitimate way to make a P365 magazine. If so, I might finally buy one.
