This is a new LCP, my issue is that the slide will lock in the open position while there is still ammo in the mag. Happens about 20% of the time.

Anyone havea home fix?

Are you sure your thumb or hand is not contacting and pushing up the slide release? If you don't think that is the problem, shoot the gun one handed with both your dominate hand as well as your non dominate hand.

Agree with warhorse on guns this small grip interference with controls can be a problem.
I have been shooting one for about 8 months now and it is one of the most reliable .22’s I have. Has shot super light standard velocity ammo all the way up to stingers with no problem.

Another with zero issues with an LCP-II Lite Rack in .22lr. It simply works perfectly. You may want to check in with the group at rugerforum.net as well.
