Have too many G19s laying around and I'm using a 320 for all my serious work, so I was thinking about turning my Gen 3 G19 into a project gun. I'm considering an Agency compensator and one of their barrels just for shits and giggles. Are the compensators just threaded to 1/2x28? How easy are they to remove for cleaning? If you mount your front sight to the comp (they have a hole for doing so), do you lose zero every time you want to field strip your gun? ---------------------------- Chuck Norris put the laughter in "manslaughter" Educating the youth of America, one declension at a time.

I don't have one but have read up on them quite a bit. The comps work great on their barrels and some other brands but they need to be long enough so that the comp is able to be threaded on properly and mate to the end of the barrel in order for the barrel/comp screws to attach,( if that makes sense). Some other brands of barrels/ threaded part of the barrel are too short and will not work with the comps. The Agency brand are all threaded 1/2x28 from what I have seen with no other options. Some people on other forums have stated that if you use the rockset/locktite on it, the comp should not move but removal for cleaning is hit or miss, as far as easy goes. I thought about the sights being moved to the comp but instead I might put one of the Agency plugs in the comp/sight spot instead, in order to keep the accuracy/sights in line with the slide in case the comp comes loose. I am debating on getting a set as I have found another comp I kind of like more. Parker Mountain Machine makes another type of comp for gen 5 pistols that seems to blend well with the slide contours and I am looking into getting one of those but they are only made in batches, so there will be some delays in availability. I am not sure which barrels work well for these as they are newish.

I have an agency barrel and a primary machines comp on one of my 19’s. The combo works well. The comp threads on and it held in place by screws thst you locktite. So just know...once on there that comp isn’t coming off unless you apply a shit ton of heat and torque. So when you clean the gun the barrel stays in the slide. Mine has close to 2500 rounds with no serious issues. _______________________________________________ Use thumb-size bullets to create fist-size holes.

Is that an Agency mag well on there? ---------------------------- Chuck Norris put the laughter in "manslaughter" Educating the youth of America, one declension at a time.

No that’s a Suarez. Both of the ones on top have agency magwells though. Honestly even though I have a few guns with agency parts their stuff is no better than other companies that charge less. With Agency you pay for the name. I have built my own glocks that shoot better and more reliably than full factory agency guns. _______________________________________________ Use thumb-size bullets to create fist-size holes.

I have a couple Agency mag wells on my Gen 4 19 and 17 and they are the only company I know, for the most part, that makes a mag well for the Glock with the back straps. Most other brands I would need to modify the back strap in order to install a different mag well.
