Grips4U stocks for a P228? Login/Join

I am thinking of getting a checkered set of these for my P228. I like the Nill stocks, but they are pretty expensive, and the website has a lousy picture of them.

What is your opinion of Grips4U stocks? If anybody wants to post pictures I would appreciate it.

Thanks,
Mike

I never heard of the site but just went there.

The prices are very reasonable for Nills grips

I found the pictures to be large and in focus, not too sure what you disliked about them

Grips are a personal thing. What I like and what fits my hands may not be good for you. I have Nills on many of my SIGs, but I do not own a P226.

These are Factory supplied Nills on my P220 Sport Stock

Here is a set of aftermarket Nills on my satin nickel P239

These are the pebble finish after market Nills on my P226

Here is a pair of after market Nills on my X5 Allround

Another example of aftermarket Nills on my X5 Tactical

Here is an example of Factory supplied Nills on my X5 L1

Hope these help

Thanks very much for your reply and the detailed pictures!

Grips4U are not selling Nill stocks. They make their own. I probably didn't post that correctly, leading to some confusion. The Grips4U site has good pictures. It was the P228 stocks picture on the Nills website that was poor.

You mentioned after market Nills - can you expand on them a little for
me? I never heard of that.

Thanks

After market means they did not leave the factory that way

Nill shows P228 stocks with a thumb rest OR stocks for the P228/229 DAK pistols available. Nothing else.

I don't like the thumb rest pattern and the DAK stocks won't work on my standard DA/SA P228.

I've had some grips by them and they were quite nice. If you have Nills or can get them then great but in my past experience, Grips4u grips value received has exceeded the price I paid.

I believe the principal of GRIPS4u is a fellow named Pete Foldynova. I helped Pete out by furnishing him some OEM grips so he could get his grips right. As a result I was the recipient of some of the products that resulted from that association...

They are top quality and fit.

Just my $.02

Adios,

I got lucky and found these Nils on this forum. On my P225. Watch the classifieds. Hogues look pretty good as well and fit will be right.

Some very nice stocks pictured. Thanks gents.

I emailed Nill today asking if they have stocks for a standard P228. As I mentioned, they only show sets for P228 DAK and P228 sets with a thumb rest. DAKs won't work, and I don't care for thumb rests on a carry/self defense gun.

Bad timing, I guess.

I have grips4u products on this restored German made (1966) PPK, .32acp which are perfect. These were listed for German made PPK’s only and not S&W models. I found out through this project that the German made, Interarms made and Fort Smith made PPK and PPK/S guns all had interchangeable grips(of course PPK and PPK/S grips each have their unique grip style). S&W Walther grips were slightly different but they could be fitted on the others.

These are a set they provided for my cz 83, they really dressed up this great gun.

Here is a set they sold me for my Sig Sauer P-6.

These are for my Polish P64.

Here is a set they listed for a FEG P63 “only” but they fir my FEG MODEL PMK perfectfully.

My latest are the grips I installed on my new to me Interarms SS Walther TPH.

I may have others but as you can see, I am a loyal Grips4u fan.

Grips4U grips on my P210. They are nice grips and half the price of Nills. I have a set of Nills on my other P210. The Grips4U stocks are slightly thinner and feel just as good.

I've ordered grips from them over the years and they were always very nice. Don't have the guns anymore and my photos were lost during the photobucket purge/scam.

I had Beretta 84F, SIG P225 and P228 grips from them.

Not minority enough!

grips4u is a great alternative to Nill for those who don't want to spend too much.

Here is an example on the German P210 Midnight 5 (ex-12131 collection).

Walther P5 Compact (also gone).

Q, am I correct that Nills aren’t available for the 210 American versions?

These don’t look like a bad option until I can get some more orange Hogue grips.
