It says none of that concerning the Type 2 SAO triggers. Says nonething about what it is made of. Only clue is it says anodized. So maybe aluminum?

Aluminum, I just installed one on my X5 Tactical. __________________________________________________ If you can't dazzle them with brilliance, baffle them with bullshit! Sigs Owned - A Bunch

Armory Craft trigger is precision CNC-milled out of 4140 pre-hardened steel with Nitride finish. Our design follows the attractive skeletonized look of our P-series triggers, which were the first adjustable flat P-series triggers on the market. Type II -DUAL ADJUSTABLE Sig Sauer P220 / 226 / 229 SAO Flat Trigger * Hard anodized for excellent durability * CNC machined (NOT a MIM part) * Manufacturing facility certified to ISO 9001/AS9100 & in accordance with the requirements of AS9104A. They are not plastic, as your OP seems to suggest. Q

I stand corrected, it was so lightweight compared to OEM trigger I assumed it was aluminum __________________________________________________ If you can't dazzle them with brilliance, baffle them with bullshit! Sigs Owned - A Bunch

Probably a real stupid question, can you drop one of these triggers into a SA/DA Sig? Say convert a P220 from SA/DA to a SAO?

There are no stupid questions. Maybe stupid answeres. :-)). No the trigger will not convert the action. In fact the trigger will not work with A DA/SA. The SAO uses a 1911 style thumb safety that works with a different hammer, sear(maybe) and disconnector. I do know that I can take my P226 .40 S&W DA/SA Legion slide and mate it to my P226 9mm SAO Legion lower and have a SAO p226 in .40.

I just bought an adjustable trigger for an early P-series gun from Armorycraft. Been looking to fix up my old P-220ST for a bit. Early guns have a thinner trigger, not compatible with current production. After installing, I like the improvement. I still have to go to the range, but I really like the feel and the take-up reduction. Double action feels a lot better.....I may have to get a trigger for my P226 SAO soon...Have an X5 L1 that doesn't need any trigger help, but I'd like to see if I can fix up the standard P226 SAO. They also are offering upgraded hammers, which I might try also.....I am not affiliated with Armorycraft in any way, but I am very satisfied with my first purchase..... ![]()

I have installed their skeletonized hammers on all my DA/SA Sigs. I really like the look. Just waiting for the SAO skeletonized hammers which they say will be out by mid July

I have tested & weighed the AC P239 & P226 SAO triggers I have. They only reacted to AL blackening, they did not react to SS or Carbon steel blackening. They weigh 1/2 the amount of OEM triggers. __________________________________________________ If you can't dazzle them with brilliance, baffle them with bullshit! Sigs Owned - A Bunch

Thanks Anush. I ran a file over the trigger and it seems to be AL. Bright spot beneath the black. When I first got the triggers they seemed like plastic, they were so light. I didn't put them on because I didn't want a plastic trigger on a $1200 gun. I am now sure they are AL.

The P239 trigger seemed to be too sharp for my liking on the edge so I rounded the edges. I then blackened with Birchfield's AL black. __________________________________________________ If you can't dazzle them with brilliance, baffle them with bullshit! Sigs Owned - A Bunch
