I am down to a single 1911- a Kimber Compact.I am thinking of getting a full-size 1911 for range use, but I never had a 1911 that was as accurate as my P-220s. What I really need is a 5" P-220 SAO but Sig dropped them, so I am looking at the Sig 1911 TACOPS, Extreme, or STX( I need the ambi safety).
My P-220s will easily take the center of the target out at 15 yds(Single action) slow fire.Just wondering what kind of accuracy are you getting from the TACOPS/Extreme/STX 1911? I could wait until the P-220 Legion SAO comes out, but wanted to check with the "brain-trust" here first.

I am not a big fan of SIG 1911s, but a shooting buddy has a Tac Ops that is very nice. Nonetheless, sign me up for the 220 Super Match over a SIG 1911.
I have a SIG 1911, but I don't shoot it much. I have STI, Kimber and Dan Wesson 1911s and they all shoot better than the Sig. I suspect due to the difference in the triggers.
If you want to stay with a Sig, I'd recommend the P226 Legion SAO. My wife has one and it's very nice. Of course, you'll be moving to 9mm.
