OttoSigWhich P226s have the narrow rail?
I bought the Sport compensator from the classifieds and now I need a host, or at least a project!
Which models or dates came with the little narrow rail?
The standard sports only or did some regular 226 Stainless come with them?
Help me narrow my search.

a.lol.catKesagegunparts had been selling them as P226 Sport Comps, they were never to my knowledge fitted to P226 guns. They were for a variation of the original first steel framed, folded slide P220 Sport guns art no. 34.220.264. These were fitted to the guns that had a 4.75" long barrel, the other variation was a solid barrel weight that was fitted to the 5.25" long barrel guns. Some of these barrel weights were also used on the P226 Classic Sport II as well as the P226 Sport SL II.
The only non sport frames that I know of that have the small dovetail rail are the P220 ST or P220 GSF.

Yeah, come to think of it, I have never seen a pic P226 Sport with the weight taken off to see what kind of rail is there. It's always the P220 Sport with that small SIG rail.

Hmmmm, so find a P220 or modify a P226 and get Barsto to make me a longer barrel…
