I am looking to find out the diameter of the P230 barrel at the muzzle.

My copy is a West German, serial number S149xxx. I'm getting .469 at the muzzle. However, there is a variance of .003 between the measurement from 9 to 3 o'clock and 12 to 6 o'clock. FWIW, I'm seeing some variance further back toward the chamber. Given that the gun has a fixed barrel, I don't think that Sig was too concerned over a slightly loose slide to barrel fit. Then again, my trusty Rockler calipers circa 2007 may be off.

A little Makarov project I am on got me started on this.
I measure the Makarov at the muzzle to be .505.
The shop drawings might well spec this at .500, eh?

Given that MY caliper measurements will sometimes drift around a bit, maybe
- I will thank you for your data point √
- but still ask any other P230 owners to add their data!
