Anyone have feedback on this special edition that does not have a rear sight, and a thin blade front sight? Relies on the Romeo1. $699 at my LGS. My old, diabetic eyes are having problems with iron sights anyway, so am thinking this might be a good way to go. Thoughts?

I considered that one, but it was much more expensive. I ended up with a Tacops, the bright sights worked for me.

At this point I've decided to buy the RX model. So my question is more for those that have one of these, do you find your self using the iron sights, co-witnessing with the red dot when shooting? Or do you feel that the version w/o a rear sight would still be a viable option?
The substantially cheaper price is enticing.

I would only use my iron sights if I used the gun in a defensive type situation where the Romeo1 stopped working. All of my RX's are range only type guns so all the sights do is get in the way. I would be very interested in a 320 compact RX at that price point.

The Elite Dealer special edition still has a rear sight, of sorts. The Romeo 1 optic has a rear sight notch built into the optic. It's not as prominent as a suppressor-height rear sight, as seen on the standard RX, but it's usable.
The height of the Dawson front sight on that model is designed to work with the notch on the back of the Romeo 1.
So if the red dot fails, the front sight post plus the optic's rear sight notch can be used as backup iron sights.

RogueJSK, First, thank you for your info regarding this gun. And the photos.
A question regarding the photos. Something I didn't notice at the LGS. Is the Romeo1 shown in the lower photo the same as the one in the upper photo? The sight notch looks shallower, and the height adjustment appears to be located differently? Also, the lock set screws appear to be missing. Hard to tell. I might need to go back to my LGS and compare the different guns with the Romeo1 sight. If it is a different sight, I might reconsider the purchase. I know the lower picture is of the gun I am considering.

Went back to LGS who is a Sig Elite Dealer. Found that the Romeo 1 sight is identical to any other pistol they had in stock with the same sight. Many pictures of this sight on line with various markings and setups, must be a variety of generations of the same sight.
