Well, the Christmas rush must be in effect. I was on hold with Sig CS twice this week, both times for about 35 minutes waiting before I hung up. Just want to know a simple question... Are the factory sights on a Sig P290RS the same dovetail as that found on the other P-Series pistols? Meaning if I buy a different set of sights from say Trijicon, will they fit? Thanks! ________________________________________ "Just A Wild Eyed Texan On a Manhunt For The World's Most Perfect Chili Dog...."

If I might ask, are the sights #6 front and #8 rear? ________________________________________ "Just A Wild Eyed Texan On a Manhunt For The World's Most Perfect Chili Dog...."

I just measured the sights for my 290RS and compared them to a new P226. 290RS - Factory original: #8 Rear sight .281 dovetail initial width outside edge to outside edge; #8 Front sight dovetail width .194 inside edge to inside edge (measured at sight base, not beginning of dovetail). P226 - Factory original: #8 Rear sight .281 dovetail initial width outside edge to outside edge; Truglo Front sight (unmarked) dovetail width .186 inside edge to inside edge (measured at sight base, not beginning of dovetail). The Truglo sight base is not as wide as the standard SigLite sights. So, based on a quick comparison, I would say yes the sight dovetails are the same. My Factory 290RS came with #8 sights front and rear. Hope this helps! _______________________ P220C .45ACP, P226 TACOPS TB 9MM, P226 .357Sig, P226 .40S&W, P229 9mm, P229 .357Sig, P938 9mm, P238 .380ACP, P245 .45ACP, P290RS 9mm, P365 9mm, SigPro 2340 .357Sig, Sig551A1 5.56mm, M400 5.56mm, M400 .300BLK MCX Virtus .300BLK
