According to this list, I believe it may be a 1996. FWIW, this is hands down my favorite era for the P-220.

I bought my new P220 in G268xxx range in July 1997.

Thank you for this site; however, the list goes from G263xxx to G273xxx, and I assume it's meant to be inclusive. If this is correct, I'd be interested in knowing why this is your favorite era.

1996 is a safe bet. What caliber is yours?

Although just my opinion (shared by many), the mid 90's P-220's are the best. There were very few options and very few problems with this era. This was after a few changes were made to the model, to make it stronger and safer, not that I consider earlier versions inadequate, it was just made better.

I have owned and continue to own a few P-220's, in a variety of calibers, sizes and finishes.

If you were to place all of the P-220's I have owned on a table, including the Legion I bought last year, and told me I can only have one, it would be my mid 90's. No rail, no tail, just honest to goodness P-220.

it's a .45 and very accurate for everyone who has shot it; expensive to shoot and large for carry, but still nice.
