Here's something a little different - a post highlighting a holster rather than a firearm. I'd been searching for a holster to compliment my 1938 S/42 code (Mauser) Luger when this one surfaced. The date, color and condition were exactly what I had envisioned. I thought I would share for our Luger/WW2 enthusiasts. Please feel free to post pics of your Luger and/or Luger holsters. Thanks!

Forgot I had this many left. Years ago I didn't want to take care of leather so I sold all my holsters. Well I guess I really didn't? Gotta clean them up, they have been sitting in the basement for years. ------------------------------------- Always the pall bearer, never the corpse.

Oops, forgot a Luger! Had this one made many years ago. Started life as a mundane 1920 Commercial. I had it chopped down to a 7 shot and a 3" barrel. In hindsight I should have bought the custom holster at the time, but it cost as much as the gun then! ------------------------------------- Always the pall bearer, never the corpse.

Those can be big $$. I took the easy way, a replica from India on eBay.

Very nice holster! I've got a line on a nice 1942 holster for my recently acquired byf 41 (already posted pix of the Luger) and a period-correct, excellent unnumbered "FXO" bakelite-based magazine and correct loading tool enroute. I should have my rig complete by the end of the week. I'll share when it's all together.

HJS I consider a pistol naked without a holster, that Luger holster is in remarkable condition for the age.
