As some of you here may have determined, I am somewhat of a fan of the Sig P239, (followed by the P226). While waiting on the P230 that I ended up 'winning' here, fellow member Geno contacted me with an offer / deal. About a month ago he had beat me to the latest P239 offered here in the classifieds. It was chambered in 357 sig and it seems he decided that round was not for him and so he emailed me to see if I was interested.... talked me into it (not that hard)... this pistol has a custom trigger job as well as the CPII coating from CCR refinishing... boy is it sweat! This has now become my Summer carry weapon. My Native American Name: "Runs with Scissors"

Here is a link to the original classified: https://sigforum.com/eve/forums...0601935/m/2860001074 The seller called it a CCII coating but I think he meant CPII which is what CCR has as an option. I was going to say: it appears the coating is on everything. but if I turn the pistol now in just the right light I can see a very slight difference between the slide and the frame and so maybe the coating is just on the frame... since the slide is stainless. I just broke the pistol down to look inside and noticed there is a place just above the slide release lever & rail that is black... not coated on either side.... possibly where it was held by something during the coating process? Edit: The one thing that was bothering me about the standard P239 that I have been carrying was that the mag. release pin, grip screws and also spare magazine were getting a very light brown stain on them... from my sweat... and so this should solve that problem... I may have mentioned, I'm planning to send some more magazines to CCR for this coating....This message has been edited. Last edited by: Blume9mm, My Native American Name: "Runs with Scissors"
