I bought a really nice CS 9 (made in 2005) several months ago. After some very brief research, I ordered a set of TercGen grips. They are worth every penny and should have been original equipment.
This was my first “Gen 3” S&W auto loader and since then have picked up a 3913, two 6906’s (one with a squared off trigger guard, and a second one with a newer rounded trigger guard), a CHP turn in in 40 cal 4006TSW, and a nice 40 cal model 410.
Prior to getting the CHP gun, I was ready to sell my Sig 239 in 40 cal (with an extra.357 barrel). The 40 cal 4006TSW was so much fun to shoot, I decided to keep the 239 and even treated it to a $100 set of Hogue wood grips. I also bought a 3 spring recoil set from Sig as well as 2 more NOS 40 cal mags from another vendor.
I also treated my rounded trigger guard model 6906, to new stock grips. My 4006TSW now has a new S&W “rounded” grip from the S&W 59 series. I really like these even though stock is the straight grip style. The 6906 and 4006TSW are former LEO turn in guns with a few marks on the metal. The new grips really set them off. All of these except the 410 is SS and alloy. The 410 is black finished.

You will love your CS9. Also, there are a lot of very nice used Gen 3 LEO turn in guns available that are great deals.
