I have been on the waiting list at my (not so) local mega gun store for a 92X Performance for a couple of months now. Had the cash waiting.... Have checked back with the gun store every so often only to be told that none had arrived, and that I would get a call when it came in.

In the meantime I got the itch to get a 1911. Haven't had one in over 10 years. Didn't want a .45 because I didn't want another caliber. After doing some research I picked a Springfield Armory Range Officer Operator in 9mm.

After filling out the paperwork I wandered down to the counter where the Berettas are on display. Guess what was in the case?!? Yup... You guessed it..... A 92X Performance!!

Since I wanted the SA, and I had filled out the paperwork I left with the 1911, and WITHOUT the 92X Beretta !

Sell the RO and get the 92X. Easy.

I really like the 1911. I have enough cash on hand to pay for about 65% of the Beretta , and I do have an X-5 that I could possibly trade in since I bought a Legion X-5 a few months back which should cover the deficit if I decide to go this route. I called the gun store and asked them to put one aside for me. Just might have to pull out the plastic!
