I carry a SIG 229, and sometimes a SIG 226, or one of my older 228s.

Now that VA is about to become little California, I bought this old Sig 227s a few years ago and it’s been sitting in my safe I don’t think I even shot it.
I travel through VA everyday taking my wife to work.
Now all my hi-cap (what ever that means) will potentially slap me with a Misdemeanor charge if I get pulled over in Virginia?

Thinking about pulling my 227 out of safe and converting it to 460 Rowland as my Bear gun for here in WV, and if I ever go back to Alaska, and as my VA Carry pistol Charlie Bronson Style from Death Wish 3, I mean go hard or go home right?

Has anyone ever done a conversation on an Sig p220/7 to 460 Rowland?

Haven't done a 460 conversion, but I did manage a conversion in .38 Super.

If the mags are what will land you in deep doodoo, a Desert Eagle magazine holds 8 of the half inch bullets

cool,

I also have a 220 which should be the same barrel as the 227. So if someone made a 220 barrel that I guess would be a start.

Yeah, I think .400 Cor-Bon might be a possibility outside of having a custom barrel made.

I would be more interested in reliability. But what I really want to add some Horse power in this 227.

Man sorry to hear VA is becoming CA. Curious what happened? Sounds like there is a capacity limit being applied to yall. CA is literally on pins and needles waiting for SCOTUS to take our mag limit case or not which would likely have national impact if we (the people of CA) win the case.

Yeah it stinks. Hasn’t happened yet but it looks like it’s going to get rammed through. No grandfather and possession is a Misdemeanor.

Glad I moved to WV a few years ago. Still have to drop my wife off in Winchester everyday.

Interesting, I wonder if SCOTUS takes up the CA case and rules in favor of the Plaintiff, if laws like this have to be challenged or are they basically no longer law…
