For OWB I've had great luck with the USPF in a Rosen 5JR.

A Veteran, whether active duty, retired, national guard, or reserve, is someone who, at one point in his or her life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America" for an amount of "up to and including my life."

I carry a USPc in a Mitch Rosen IWB & a Kramer OWB, it rides fine and shares duty with my G19 for carry weapons.

Years ago I carried the USPc 9mm. It was ok. Personally I would go for the P2000 in 9mm as the rounded profile carries a little better. Also the P2000 sells for around $550 new these days.

USP 9, no. USP 45C and HK 45, yes. Carried both inside and outside the waistband. No, it's neither too large, nor too heavy, and it's very reliable.
