Ice age heat wave, cant complain. |
About two years ago I had Jagerwerks mill and cut forward slide serrations on my Gen5 Glock 17. Their work is exceptional. A few months back I got a really good deal on a rebuilt (by Glock) 43X that I decided I wanted to RDS. It was a no brainer for me to go with Jager, their lead time was TO THE DAY, exactly what they told me it would be in 10 weeks. NRA Life Member Steak: Rare. Coffee: Black. Bourbon: Neat.

I'm hoping to see mine back soon. I sent my 43X slide to them during the July 4th sale and I' waiting. They made a shipping label almost two weeks ago but it hasn't found it's way to the Post Office yet.

What specifically are you having them do? NRA Life Member Steak: Rare. Coffee: Black. Bourbon: Neat.

Same thing, an optic cut with nitride finish. They've done 2 others for me and I've been very happy with their work. They got a little overwhelmed with the sale from what I've heard.

The cake is a lie! |
I also just got my Gen5 19 slide back yesterday from JagerWerks. 10 weeks was the wait time also.

Please disregard my ignorance, but why mill for the rear site in front of the RDS?

Not ignorant at all. On larger frame (slide) guns, this can be done either way. I prefer it to the rear of the RDS when I have a choice. In this case, Jagerwerks does NOT mill the rear sight behind an RMRcc on the 43X. I believe they may be able to do it with other optics but not with the RMRcc. NRA Life Member Steak: Rare.
