I was able to shoot a Bisley and plow handle Blackhawk side by side and I definitely prefer the Bisley.

Have a new grip frame and trigger/hammer kit incoming.

Should have it back in a few months. Should be one of only a few Bisley 10mm if any.

Very excited.

I gotta thank Cee_Kamp for all the help along the way and answering all my revolver questions.

I have had Ruger Blackhawks for many years. I got a .45Colt/ .45ACP convertible in the mid 1970s. I also had a source for fairly cheap .45ACP ammo. I have put thousands of rounds thru it. I got a .44 Special Bisley a few years ago and swore I would never buy anything but Bisley's again. I think the grip is far superior to the regular Blackhawk grip. Herrett's used to make a grip for the Blackhawk is also very good. I like them as well or better than the Bisley grips.

I hope I did this right, I tried to post a link to the ebay page of ads for them. None of them are mine, I do not sell stuff on ebay. I wanted to show you what they look like, but posting a picture on the computer is way beyond me.

The Herretts grips fill in the area behind the trigger guard and make shooting the Blackhawk a lot more comfortable for me.
Herretts does not make them any more, but I have bought them on both ebay and gun broker.

I hope I am not breaking any rules by posting this link, but I was not sure how else to show what I am talking about.

I think that Hogue's make a similar grip out of rubber, but I like the Herrett's better.

I think it would be wort the effort to get a pair and try them.

I also like your idea of getting your gun built.
