SIGfourmeMagguts for 365 - opinions
The 365 10 and 12 rounders are a PIA to load. I've been considering the Magguts to alleviate the problem and add an extra 2 rounds.
Magguts now has a new spring and follower for the 15 rounder to make it 17 rounds. Now the 365XL will hold the same # as a Macro.
At $33 a piece -expensive mod.

12131I agree that it is pricey. But, they work as advertised. I have them in the factory 10-rounder and 12-rounder. Carry the modified 10-rounder everyday. That's 13 rounds total in a gun that can fit in my pocket.

stoic-oneWe had a few threads on this a while back. Yes they are a bit expensive, and yes they work as advertised, for me and quite a few other buyers... I'm over a thousand rounds each on two 10 round magazines upgraded to hold 12, with no problems.
Link to a 3 page thread from 1/2021:

njautoGlad I stumbled upon this. I’ve never heard of them before. If I can now carry 13 rounds in the 10 round magazine and you say they are good
To go,I might give this a try.
Edit: I always wonder why didn’t Sig just do this in the first place? Why does another company have to figure it out and market it?

If I had to guess, that flat spring MagGuts uses is more expensive than sticking with a standard coiled spring. The coiled spring is a known/mature technology to SIG, so they designed and built the pistol around that magazine design.

.38supersigMaybe the 10 rounder is designed to be acceptable in a wider market than what would be available as a 12 round magazine?

220-9erI have it in my 12 round xl and it seems to work flawlessly, making it a 14 +1 now. Besides that, the baseplate adds almost nothing to the length.

ScotP7I am interested in hearing more reports from members who have had more rounds and more time with them. (Whether that is in Sigs, Glocks, or Kahn’s, etc.) The thread Stoic-One referenced was a good one, but a little old, and it did include two or three posts reporting problems.

pedropcolaJust to be clear. The Magguts makes a 10 round mag into a 12 round mag. Q said 13 rounds which is 12+1.
Mine have been reliable so far. Expensive but worth it is my 2 cents.
As far as the 15 rounder going up to 17 so why get a Macro? I have all the above. If you place the extended 15 round 365 mag next to the Macro 17 rounder, the Macro is a hair taller on the back edge, and I am saying a freakin hair taller. On the front edge of mag it is shorter so dimensionally you are basically identical.

jospI believe I posted in the earlier forum, but will say that I continue to use them in two of my 10 round mags. I’ve got over 1500 in one gun, and about 600 in the other. No issues.
I keep looking for a sale to get more. Maybe someday.

pedropcolaNo I knew you knew that, lol. He wrote 13 in the mag, wasn't sure if that poster knew the distinction.

OLD_COPMy 10 round mags are now 12. They work and are worth it to me.

Do you have one of these? If not, you need one:
The UpLula
My Kahr's mags are almost impossible to load by hand past the first 2-3 rounds, I use mine all the time.

John_AZYeah, the cost of the parts is $33 each. Which is expensive. But then you’ve got to put the ammo through it as well to ensure it’s reliable enough to carry. Which is more cost.
I just picked up a P365 to replace the Glock 43. Going from 7 rounds to 11. Then you start looking at Magguts and extended mags, and I feel the hunt for capacity is never over.
At some point, I need to let myself know when enough is enough and stop spending so much money on the hunt.
With that being said… there’s a chance I’ll end up trying the Magguts haha

ChowserNo issues with magguts in my 10 and 12 rd P365 mags. Waiting for them to restock Glock 42 magguts.
Not minority enough! October 11, 2022, 06:19 PM
patwThey are pricey but unfortunately what other option isn't,unfortunately. The aluminum extensions/base plates are pretty close in price, especially after you buy a larger spring. I have had a few Magguts parts for a few guns I owned and I never recall any issues.

ChowserTHanks! Got the email. Ordered 3.
You'll like the P365 magguts. I traded my 15rd P365 magazine for a 12 rd and stuck the magguts in it. All my P365 mags are maggutted.
