I have an M9 that I just put the G conversion, Wilson combat short reach trigger, D spring and Langdon optimized trigger bar in. The trigger feels great but I’ve noticed that if I dry fire slowly in double action I really have to press hard on the trigger to get the hammer to fall. Doesn’t do it every single time but it’s not hard to make it do it. Anyone else run into this?

Only one of my 92’s has a D Spring (Wilson) and no I don’t experience this. I tend to keep my firearms stock from the factory so I haven’t replaced and 92 mainsprings although I may in the future. Chris Take Care, Shoot Safe, Chris

I generally don’t mess with parts like This but it’s a range gun. I haven’t shot it yet but I’m wandering if this is a common sign that I did something wrong, these pistols aren’t exactly Glock simple

It shouldn’t be doing that. All my 92 variants get a D spring or equivalent and none have had issues. Any other changes? Trigger bar dragging on the grip?

Have not experienced any issues with my Vertec with a D spring. I suggest that you go back to stock and make one change at a time.

Could be a minor fitting issue between the trigger bar and the new trigger or sear.

^^^ What he said, most likely the trigger bar needs some fitting. When I installed the OP LTT bars in my 92's some dropped right in and some took some honing. Check out Ernest's video.

All I have changed is the mainspring on my M9 to the "D" spring. I do not have the trouble you are experiencing. ____________________________ NRA Life Member, Annual Member GOA, MGO Annual Member

The LTT Trigger Bar needs to be fitted. https://youtu.be/BuELnRoC2gE "Clear Eyes. Full Hearts. Can't Lose."

The D spring isn’t going to cause any problems. The trigger bar sometimes needs minor adjusting. Put stock trigger bar back in. If problem goes away it’s solved. I also think clearance with right grip could be an issue. Those are two most likely. Easy fix for both if that’s the case.

I agree that the trigger bar fit is likely the problem. and it's not normal.

As previously mentioned, it is probably the LTT Trigger bar. Replace it with the factory Trigger bar and see if it works properly. That is exactly what happened to me when I installed the LTT Trigger Job In A Bag on my 92. There is a video on LTT website about the TJIAB, and it mentions this problem, and how to fix it at the end of the installation video.
