I recently picked up a new toy from a fellow at my range. It’s a Sig P225 with what appear to be factory g10 grips. I can’t figure out how to post a picture of it and I can not find one on line anywhere to share link. It’s black with white sig logo on top of slide, white layers in the grips that look like stripes From the backside, and short white stripes on slide. Just from it’s appearance, it is pretty new so I find it odd, I can’t find any other examples. I shot 2 8 round mags through it and it felt very smooth and even like it had an upgraded short rest trigger... factory?

Any thoughts?

The official name is P225-A1 Classic Carry. And yes, it does have the Short Reset Trigger (SRT).

The P225-A1 line is newer and not to be confused with the old true classic P225 that was discontinued in 2010.
Btw, SIG has also discontinued the 225-A1.

The 225-A1 line consists of the one with the checkered black G10 grips, one with wood grips, one with threaded barrel, a two-tone one (natural stainless slide), and the Classic Carry. Yes, the Classic Carry was a limited edition (Talo).

Here is a slightly modified P-6 with that neat “mystery” hammer. Gun has updated Sig white dot sights and 225 springs. Prior owner refinished it (not sure what it is but it seems real tuff).

The grips are from grips4u out of Illinois.

Bought the gun with three Sig mags and 2 Pro Mags that work surprisingly well. Found three NOS 225 mags at a Police supply shop at a great price (they said they had them for years and did not know what they went to).

Gun has stock 1979 barrel with no modifications and feeds everything perfectly.

Very nice looking weapon. I guess my A-1 is nothing special but still a cool sig to join my collection. And looks like I got a decent deal at $600.

How do you get pics uploaded? I tried but ???
