You mean the 225? It was a last ditch effort to get rid of the last 225's made. Stupid marketing, imo. They are great old school German pistols. I wouldn't pay a penny more over a normal 225 of the same eea though.

How about some pics? Do you have th original box, papers, etc.? What does it say on the gun? "SIG SAUER P226 POLIZEI"? Or, is that just your saying? Does it have some kind of shield on it? Does it have the Swiss proof mark, in addition to the German proof marks? You really provided no information, except saying that bought the gun years ago.

^^^^^ Ok, so it's a Swiss police P226. Can't make out what shield that is. Was it imported by PW Arms? That "GERMANY" engraving looks mighty reminiscent of the engraving of PW Arms, and not factory original.

Probably 10 years ago, Top Gun Supply sold a bunch of them, at least that’s where I got mine. I think they were around $600.00.
Mine was in pretty good shape, just a lot of holster wear. I screwed up and had it refinished, now you can just barely see the Polizei emblem.
I just looked at your picture, and I think yours is not what Top Gun was selling. Mine has the stainless slide, and the emblem is on top of the slide right in front of the ejection port. It came in a black plastic case.

Just looking again at my P226 with Zurich emblem on top of slide, with Polizei, with JH markings(1987). Serial production 152,xxx. Would have thought with that early serial to be a little earlier?
Diceman3 photos of your P-226 would really put it to rest. Off hand forget which Swiss city/canton adopted the P-226, might of been Zurich. Top of slide would be correct placement of emblem for Swiss pistols.

A little earlier? That serial number is right smack in 1987 range.
