What gun? Kydex or leather? Use… CCW or woods carry?

I have one of Gunfighters Inc. Kenai chest holsters and really like it. About to order a second shell for my Echelon. They have a shoulder holster as well. I have no experience with it but can attest to their overall quality.

I don't use it much but I keep my Galco Jackass ready at all times.
Great for a cold weather dog walk or trip to the store with a jacket.

I have several shoulder holsters.
My two favorite are a couple of Galco VHS4.0 rigs that I bought. One for a 5” 1911 and another for a 4” they carry the handgun vertically and that works better for me.
I’m 5’11” these days (I’ve started shrinking) and weigh right at 200lbs on a small frame that is admittedly a bit Skinny Fat.

Andrews Monarch. I love this holster system, prefer it to my IWB and OWB holsters, but I only use it 5 months out of the year. It took a long time to have it made and delivered, but it was worth waiting for.

The only shoulder holster system that worked for me was a Galco Jackass rig sized, in my case, for a SIG P229.

I have quite a few Galco shoulder holsters and they just work and work well. You have a good selection for guns and mag styles.
I have tried the vertical gun holsters and just didn't like them as well as a horizontal. But the opposite applies for the mag holsters. I prefer horizontal over vertical.

I have purchased a few other brands used on the forum and they all were bulkier made and not as adjustable. The Galco system is very adjustable.

Have also tried a few gun only holsters and didn't like them. Prefer two mag style to help balance the guns weight.

Another vote for Galco.

I'm another Jackass, er fan. I've got holsters for Glock, Sigp229, and sigp239 for mine.
But I don't use it much? I guess I like the weight on my waist rather than higher up.

For those times best suited for a shoulder holster, Galco has always been my choice and have served me well over the years.

As much as I would love an Andrews shoulder rig, I use it so a shoulder holster so infrequently that the wait for me isn’t worth it. I have a Galco Miami Classic II that works quite well when I need a shoulder rig. I like having it as an option for when the need arise.

I have an Alessi “Bodyguard” horizontal shoulder rig. It has Alessi’s “Quickbreak” retention system. A sharp tug on the pistol pops a snap in the trigger guard. That retention system is offered only for pistols with safetys. And maybe revolvers – don’t know.

Unfortunately Mr. Alessi has expired – Tom carries on the business. Mine arrived about a month after I ordered it.

It’s excellent – comfortable, and doesn’t dangle when I lean forward. A pouch for two mags on the off side.

Don’t argue with fools.
