Hi all, looking for some feedback. I'm wanting to add a red dot to my 226 EE and have two options I'm deciding between:

A. Buy a Rx slide for $470
B. Mill current slide for a Delta point pro I already have for $220

The Rx seems like a solid deal considering Romeo's are $300 by themselves. I'd also be able to switch between my current stainless slide and the black Rx slide. Is the Rx worth the extra $250 in everyone's opinion?

X-Carry (ACRO & DPP slides), X5 x2 (w/ DPPs, gas pedals, Springer guide rods)

Just recently started using a Romeo1 (P320) and very happy with it, even the 3MOA dot is easy to see in bright daylight, and it's auto on/off feature will be easy on battery life. That battery is accessible too for replacement without having to remove the optic. As for it's value, well you're not just getting the optic, but an extra slide in a finish you want, as you pointed out. I will say though, if you've not used an MRDS before (as in my case) they do take some getting used too - I use mine for competition and it's a work in progress Smile .

I recently got into the RMR scene. I would like to suggest to actually test one for yourself as you may have astigmatism and may see a red blob instead of a dot.

I do have astigmatism and ended up purchasing a 1 MOA. With this, the semi distorted 1 MOA dot looks like a 3 moa which works for me.

I have 2 P226 RX's and a P320 RX. One of my P226 is the SAO RX and the other is a SSE that I bought the RX xchange kit for. I could not be happier with it.

The deltapoint's have a good reputation. I don't think you'd be unhappy going that route. Can't speak for the Romeo 1 as i don't have many rounds on one. That said, I'm curious where you can find a 226 RX slide for $470? Only seen them in stock at Sig's site for $591.

It's always a tradeoff. But I would never pick a romeo as my choice. period. I've seen many of them pack it up and go home in matches. One good choice might be to have it milled for a decent sight (I use and recommend an RMR) from someone who can also give you a cover plate (I use PMM) and then you can switch. But my personal preference would be to get another slide versus milling the original. That's what I did on my legion.
