Picked up a MK25 today. Have a brand new X300U. Switched from the U to the P rail lock. I cannot for the life of me get the surefire to look. It appears the battery cover is butting up against the trigger guard. I know years ago I picked up a new Les Baer Recon with X300. They actually sanding the battery cap down. I have seen plenty of X300 on MK25's. Am I missing something? Thanks!

Does the serial number of your pistol begin with UU?

Out of curiosity what is the UU significance in this regard?

Unscrew the rails on the Surefire 300U so the weapon light will fit onto the MK25's rails from below. Don't try to slide the light onto the gun's rails from the front. Tighten down the weapon light screw. You're done

I guess the spacer on the battery cover can be removed via four small pins. I did not catch this and plan to try this evening.

I took those pins out and now I can fit the Surefire to my P226 Combat.

I have found the X300 universal (Glock) insert fits some 1913 rail pistols with the back of the light touching the trigger guard. The 1913 insert would not lock on those pistols. Never removed the spacer before...

Early US-produced P226 frames were incompatible with Surefire X-series lights unless the backside of the WML's switch body was relieved a bit.
