Hello All, Lately I've been reading more about the Sig P210 and like a lot of what I read. However, I am in California and can only buy one that is C&R- so something from before 1973. I am trying to figure out if it is worth me spending the money when I can't even hold one to test a few things out. Like- how long is the trigger take-up vs the reset? Accuracy? Movement in the hand? The two guns I already have that I would use as comparisons would be the Browning GP35 Competition [BHP Competition] from 1987 [longer takeup and reset, I know] and the CZ SP01 [either manual or tactical, but with full CGW trigger kit installed]. Between the BHP Competition and SP01, the SPO1 wins on trigger feel/control, but the BHP feels better in my hands, as they are smaller. Have any of your been able to do a comparison of a Cajun-ized SP01 and a Sig P210? Before I spend more than I did on both SP01s, I'd want to be sure I was getting something that was significantly better than the SP01- not just a smidge better, but cooler. any help would be appreciated. Sigs and Non-Sigs: I enjoy having options!

First off you need to focus on what you are going to use the gun FOR. Because a C&R eligible P210 will NOT be set up for competition. You won't find 20 round magazines for it, you wont find flared magwells, and my vague memory is the target sighted versions were not at all common. Compare that to the SP-01 and it's a gun that is nearly competition ready out of the box. I also suspect that the SP-01 will also cost less than a C&R eligible P210. The P210's were expensive when new and collectors today just drool over a nice clean older P210's. I've stopped counting.

I shoot both, or kind of. Have two P-210A’s. A Target and Standard. Both are fantastic. Also have a CZ Shadow SAO. It is a CZ Custom Shop gun based on the SP01. Not the Shadow II. All three have 2.5 - 3 pound triggers. The trigger and front sight are better on the Shadow. I shoot the Shadow slightly better. The P210A Trigger is a fine trigger. But the shape bothers me after a 100 rounds. If not shooting high round count the triggers are the about same. My hands are XXL. Think shooters with smaller hands made not have issues with the P210 Trigger. Also the P210A May shoot better than the Shadow SAO stock. Mine has a CGW x10 barrel bushing and it been improve the accuracy. Realize this is not a pre 1973 P210 vs CZ SP01 comparison. But a nice Swiss P210 is 4,000.00. A SP01 is a 650 dollar gun.
