P229: big and small beaver tails
Are the “small” legion like ones new? The traditional beaver tail on the p229s always seemed a bit overdone.

The one on my 226 Legion is not too big. I think the Legion series got it right.

The original Elites have long tail. The second gen (current) Elites and the Legions have smaller ones. I agree, big tail on the P229 is ugly.

My "new" P229 Elite has the smaller beavertail. It's not too obtrusive, but IMO it's entirely unnecessary as I've never had slide bite or trouble getting high up in the backstrap of a tail-less P229. I'm glad they shrunk it, but I'm not sure why they felt the need to create it in the first place.

This! Much better without, not needed.
