jimmy123xI have a brand new P7 PSP magazine in the bag, I paid around $130 for it a few years back, but I don't have any spares besides what's in the gun, and used ones go for $70, so it's still in the bag and figure it's a great investment if I don't use it. Pretty sure you can get new mecgar mags for p6 I think so why the high price on a new one.

Mec-Gar doesn’t make P6/P225 mag. Never did. The price referenced in the OP is just pure highway robbery. Highly doubt anyone dumb enough to bite that one.

neverfollowLucky enough to pick up a great condition P6 with 5 mags a few weeks ago. Looking to add a few and you're right - ranges from $75 to $325 (in wrapper). Both GB and Ebay have wide ranging prices. Was told Promag were hit and miss, ok for range, not for SD.

JumboWhen I had a 225 I found that using Wolff springs in the Promag worked as well as the factory mags. I still have some factory mags around, once I get them all together I will list them here if the classifieds ever return.

neverfollowJumbo - should that day when classifieds re-open, please reach out to me. Thank you.

Xer0If you absolutely need a P6/P225 magazine and can't find originals for a reasonable price (like for range use), it is quite easy to make a reliable working magazines from cheap Walther P38 magazines. They are almost exact in all aspects except the p38 mags being about 1/4 inch longer. The only thing needed is to cut a magazine catch hole in the p38 mag for it to work (P38 pistol is heel release, so no mag catch hole. Even the slide lock on empty works. The mag will stick out the bottom a 1/4 inch longer, but it works perfect. I tested this out myself a while back just for shits and giggle because the p38 mags were so cheap and it worked just fine for the two magazine's worth of rounds I shot through it. Still worked fine in my p38 too even after cutting the mag catch hole. I was even going to try cutting the bottom front and rear, then bending too-long sides over for the baseplate to make flush like OEM P6 mags but I didn't pursue this as I have plenty of P6 mags, but for you who can't find enough for a reasonable price, this is another way to have a reliable quality magazines (Which Pro Mag P6 mags are NOT). In fact, I think the P38 mags are better designed than the P6's. P38 mags are spot welded on a overlapping seem on the side instead of butting the rear together, welded then and ground flat. Overlapped on the side prevents rear splits at the back of the feed lips where the zipper edges are pressed together.

.38supersigSweet deal!
Still a bit cheaper than the P220 mag in 7.65mm that has been on there for the last year or so.

FWIW I couldn't get my P.38 mags to work in my P225 but I didn't actually cut the slot for the mag catch; just held them in place so maybe I was putting too much upward pressure on the mag body.

Austin228so I have something to share.....I have a LOT of P6 magazines... I mean like 40+-60 or so....
I feel selling at market price is ripoff pricey, and I feel if I sell them too cheap the other person will probably just sell them for market value.
I'm not quite sure what market is but I looked at some ebay/gunbroker etc selling and sales lately and I thought pricing was on the unobtainium level.
I sold a few sets of 3 in the past, and asked for members pictures of their P6/P225 to verify it was for them, I may do that if their is any interest. (edit, I forgot classifieds is gone for now)
I just didn't know if people felt I was fairly pricing them or not.
I didn't want anyone to say I was financing my kid's college on P6 magazines
(don't worry it was just for diaper money back then

)
Now that we're on the subject of expensive old magazines.
I've been getting into P232's lately, and $125! a magazine seems to be market price for those......
I recently bought a P232 for $450 because it came with two magazines for my other P232.

neverfollowWhen you do decide to sell a few of the P6 magazines - please reach out to me. I can't/won't pay the prices listed in GB/Ebay. FYI, my P6 is a 1989 vintage with a SN M644***.
